We have added a new Spell Checker to the Lingo section of the Streaming Internet Radio toolbar. The reason behind this change was to remove advertising that was associated with the previous spell checking system that we had adopted.

How to use
When you find yourself completing a form, click the Spell check button:
Lingo > Spell check

A unobtrusive spell check button will appear (ABC):

Enter your text onto the form as normal. When complete, click the Spell check button to check your text. Words that are spelt incorrectly will be underlined. Click the underlined word to correct the spelling.

Once you have completed spell checking, or if no errors have been found, click the submit button to complete your entry.

You may have previously read that we have produced a new Socialiser toolbar and that it has Google Buzz integrated. Now, we have updated the Buzz section of the toolbar so that more tools are included - we will add even more as they become available.

If you have a Gmail account, but don't yet have Google Buzz, you can turn it on by clicking the link in your toolbar - you can also update your Google Buzz settings via the toolbar as well!

How to Buzz
There are two options available to you...

1) Link with a note
To create a Buzz with a simple link, click the Buzz it button and a pop-up window will open. Check that the information is correct, add a note if you wish, then click the Post Item button.

2) Link with content and a note
If you wish to share more than just a simple link on Google Buzz, highlight the content you wish to share with your mouse. now, click the Buzz it button on your toolbar - a pop-up window will open. Check that the information you are sharing is correct, add a note if you wish, then click the Post Item button. You can share images, video and more!

Searching Google Buzz
You can also search Google Buzz directly from your toolbar. To do this, click the down arrow adjacent to the Go button on your toolbar.

Select:  buzz gmail.com.

When you have activated Google buzz search in your toolbar, simply enter your search terms and click the Go button - your Gmail account will open, along with the results of your Buzz query.

Google Buzz is the new application to be integrated with Gmail - think of Buzz as a way of sharing information with your email contacts.

If you have Gmail, no set-up is required. With Buzz, you can share information to the world, or just to your friends. you can see images with your posts, can connect sites that you already use and see updates in real time. Buzz gives you interesting stuff and weeds out the stuff you are likely to skip.

To access Google Buzz from your toolbar, click:
Menu > Tools > Google Tools > Google Buzz

A few days ago, we posted news regarding our decision to move the Music menu on your Streaming Internet Radio toolbar to the main Menu section - this move is designed to free space on the toolbar for future development. The changes are almost complete.

We have a small amount of testing to carry out, then the Music menu will be removed. This is expected to take a couple of days.

If you are a Conduit Marketplace user of our Music menu, you are urged to update your toolbar to our Main menu, or the free great tracks that you listen to will be lost.

To add our main menu to your toolbar, please carry out a search via your toolbar (on the marketplace) for: The ultimate toolbar menu! Alternatively, you can add the menu via our gadgets page.

We have added the fabulous Read it Later service to your Streaming Internet Radio toolbar. Do you always seem to have little time while on the web? have you seen a webpage, hoping to go back to it, only to have forgotten the URL - with Read it later, keeping track of those pages you would like to read is easy. Just click, and the page is saved for future reference.

To use the Read it later service from your toolbar, you must first register for a free account.

Once registered, simply click the Read it later button to save the current webpage/document/etc. It's all pretty self explanatory!

We have produced a new Twitter gadget (widget) that does not require token authorisation with a third party. With our gadget you deal directly with Twitter - this enhances the security of your account.

To access our new Twitter gadget, click:
Menu > SOCIAL NETWORKING > Twitter > Post to Twitter

Our Twitter gadget is also available to other toolbar users via the toolbar marketplace - search for Post to Twitter.

If you would like to use our Twitter gadget on your own personal webpage, you can. Please copy the code below - we have a Javascript or iFrame version available.

Now, your Streaming Internet Radio toolbar has been enabled with the superb Reframeit.

"Reframe It seeks to transform the nature of the public web by creating a virtual margin alongside any web page on which users can post comments to be shared with other users and read what others have written. Reframe It makes it possible for users to place any online material in a new light. It allows each user to benefit from the insights of other users who place specific online content in context and share their reactions in the form of online marginalia.

Currently, to discuss a specific idea or excerpt from a webpage, one must email the URL, identify the exact location of the point of interest and then explain why it's interesting. The person who receives such an email often misinterprets what the sender found important because the commentary within the email is out of the context of the specific, critical passage of text. Imagine that this first exchange of information and the subsequent discussions all taking place in a single, adjacent space. Reframe It creates this space and makes communication about external information easy and efficient."

To use Reframeit, click:
 Menu > SOCIAL NETWORKING > REFRAMEIT

From the menu you can add your comments, view recent comments from other users or edit your account details.

A new live soccer scores gadget has been developed by your Streaming Internet Radio toolbar - the gadget allows you to keep up to date with you favourite team during their 90 minutes of footballing competition.

To access the gadget from your toolbar, please click:
Menu > ENTERTAINMENT > SPORT > Live soccer scores

As with our policy of sharing gadgets, this gadget is also available via our gadget page, and also on the toolbar marketplace.

The Google Earth gadget on your Streaming Internet Radio toolbar has been updated - now, you can input a location and fly there with ease! 

In addition, you can also load a Google Earth KML file into a new Google Earth gadget - this allows you to access thousands of locations that people have discovered.

HOW TO USE:

Right click on a KML link, select Properties, then highlight the URL with your mouse. Depress Ctrl and C on your keyboard to copy the URL.

Once you have copied a URL, launch the Google Earth KML gadget from your toolbar, then click to highlight the text within the form and depress Ctrl and V to paste the copied URL.

A new iLike music player, with a search facility is now available on your Streaming Internet Radio toolbar - to use this gadget, click:

Music > iLIKE > Music search

In addition to the player being available as a gadget in the Music menu, you can also search directly from your toolbar!

Click the search form down arrow, scroll down, select ilike.com - now, enter a recording artist name.
